I need help with the data plan on my phone?

i have the sidekick 4g and i have the unlimited royalty plan.. everything is unlimited including data. i've been meaning to go to the tmobile shop and ask them but ive been so busy! whenever i'm out i can't use the internet unless theres wifi available which is usually never unless im at a restraunt.. please help this is driving me crazy. oh and i have tmobile.
