If Jesus was God, how could he have "by inheritance obtained a more excellent name ?

Remember the Trinity. God the Father is the ultimate Owner of all, and all He owns in the inheritance of God the Son. Also note that it is not an inheritance in the traditional sense. The Son will not receive the inheritance after the Father dies, because the Father will never die. Instead, He will receive it as His own to share with the Father after Judgment.
