Oblivion quest question????Easy 10 points!!!!?

I am on the quest"Purification" for the dark Brotherhood.I have given all of the members the poisoned apple(via pickpocket).I have waited 24 hours and still none have died from eating it.any suggestions for the game?And whats the easiest and fastest way to finish this difficult quest?Thanks so much.
