Is it rational to still be scared of my ex?

I am so sorry this happened to you, but I'm happy that you are now out of it. Yes, your fear of him is rational. What he did to you was very traumatizing, so it is very logical that you would still be afraid of him. Lots of women who escape abusive relationships claim to still fear their ex...even if their ex is now in jail. If you want proof, look at the Katie Piper documentary, "My Beautiful Face." If its been seven years and he has not tried to hurt you since, i don't think he's going to show up out of the blue to hurt you. But maybe to get over your trauma, you should see a therapist or a psychologist. Hope i helped, and you move past this guy :)
